JAKARTA – Inforayanews.co.id, – Presiden Republik Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo resmi melantik Kepala Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme Republik Indonesia (BNPT RI) Komjen Pol. Prof. Dr. H. Rycko Amelza Dahniel, M.Si. di Istana Negara pada hari Senin (3/4/23).
Komjen Rycko Amelza Dahniel menggantikan Komjen Pol. (Purn) Dr. Boy Rafli Amar, M.H. yang telah memasuki masa purnabakti .
Pelantikan Kepala BNPT diawali dengan pembacaan Keputusan Presiden Nomor 51/TPA Tahun 2022 tentang Pemberhentian dan Pengangkatan dari dan dalam Jabatan Pimpinan Tinggi Utama di Lingkungan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme.
Rycko mengatakan upaya pencegahan terorisme akan bekerja sama dengan mitra di dalam dan di luar negeri. Selain itu, pencegahan berbasis soft-approach juga dilakukan melalui pendekatan edukasi dan kesejahteraan.
“Kita akan melakukan kerja sama baik di dalam negeri maupun di luar negeri terutamanya dengan mengedepankan upaya-upaya pencegahan, pencegahan dengan menggunakan sentuhan dari pada hati, pencegahan yang lebih mengedepankan upaya-upaya dalam bidang edukasi pendidikan dan kesejahteraan,” kata Rycko.
Pendekatan lunak ini juga digunakan dalam mengoptimalkan upaya deradikalisasi. Rycko mengatakan penegakan hukum merupakan ultimum remedium, sehingga pendekatan lunak menjadi strategi utama dalam mencegah terorisme.
“Bapak Presiden tadi berpesan kepada saya untuk melakukan optimalisasi kegiatan deradikalisasi terutama kepada saudara-saudara kita yang pernah tersesat dan terlibat dalam masalah hukum dengan kasus-kasus radikalisme dan terorisme, kita tentunya akan menggunakan berbagai upaya, pendekatan secara preemtif, secara persuasif, preventive is better than cure, prevention first, the law enforcement only the ultimum remedium strategy,” ungkapnya.
Sebelum dilantik sebagai Kepala BNPT, Rycko menjabat sebagai Kepala Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (Kalemdiklat) Polri.
Kiprahnya dalam penanggulangan terorisme sudah tidak diragukan lagi. Lulusan terbaik Akpol 1988 ini mendapatkan kenaikan pangkat luar biasa usai ikut melumpuhkan gembong teroris Dr. Azhari di Batu, Jawa Timur pada tahun 2005 silam.(Feri/123d)
